I have been working in an IT firm for 3yrs.Iam planning to do a MBA in Finance.Is it wise to switch Career now

Iam not able to give my 100 % to the technical job i do now as iam not interested in it. Even though i get a decent salary here i dont think i can continue with this job. i have a flair toward portfolio management in financial sector.
